What we collect
- Account: your email address, and your name and photo if you sign in with Google.
- Reviews: what you write, your rating, the service, month and price, and the area you choose to show.
- Photos and videos: what you upload. Photos are re-saved without location data, and faces are blurred if you choose.
- Receipts: the booking confirmation or payment screenshot you upload, and the text we read from it.
- Businesses: owners' email, profile details and billing records. Card details are handled by Stripe, never by us.
- Device: a random ID in a cookie, so likes and reports count once per device, and a sign-in cookie.
Why we use it
- To run your account and publish your reviews: to provide the service you asked for.
- To check receipts and stop fake reviews: our legitimate interest, and our legal duty to tackle fake reviews.
- To send emails about your reviews, claims and account: to provide the service.
- To handle reports and legal complaints, and to comply with court orders: legal obligation and legitimate interest.
What businesses can see
Businesses see your review, rating, the service, the month and, if you chose it, your area. They never see your name, email, receipt or the exact date. We only share who posted a review if a court orders us to.
Who we share it with
Our service providers, under contract: Supabase (database and storage, UK region), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), Stripe (payments), Google (receipt reading and Google sign-in) and Cloudflare (bot protection). Some are based in the US; transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US data bridge.
How long we keep it
- Receipts: deleted 30 days after your review is checked.
- Reviews and photos: while they are on Vouched, or until you delete them or your account.
- Accounts: until you delete them. Unused accounts may be deleted after 3 years.
- Billing records: 6 years, as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can download your data and delete your account at any time from your account page. You can also ask us to correct your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing privacy@vouchedbeauty.com. We reply within one month. If you're unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We only use cookies needed to run Vouched: your sign-in, and the device ID that stops likes and reports being counted twice. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
